The town of Krasnystaw is located in Lubelskie Province, Poland, at the confluence of Wieprz and Żółkiewska rivers, between two sub regions of Lubelska Upland- Grabowieckie divie and Giełczewska Elevation. It is situated within the Ecological System of Protected Areas. The town`s administrative borders encompass a fragment of Grabowiecko- Strzelecki Protected Landscape Zone with valleys of  Wieprz and Żółkiewska Rivers and Borek forest.

Krasnystaw is a small bewitching town. It covers 42 square kilometers with a population of 20 thousand. Due to the region`s agruicultural character, food and agricultural industry are dominant in the town and its vicinity. The following companies operate here: District Dairy Co-operative- a plant with European standards and renown, Cersanit- Poland’s biggest manufacturer of sanitary ware, strongly expanding the range of its export activity, Kartonex- a company that produces paper packaging and wrapper, Cora-tex- an outerwear manufacturer, Krasnystaw Sugar Factory in Siennica Nadolna- one of the Poland`s biggest sugar factories, Tabacco Ferment Mill, grain elevator Elewar (in Krupiec near Krasnystaw) and others.

It is a short way from Krasnystaw to Lublin, Zamość (the region`s major cities) and to currently built airport in Świdnik (48 km from Krasnystaw) as well as to an exquisite area of Roztocze Region, and Polish- Ukrainian border (about 60 km). Krasnystaw is well- tended and still developing, yet quite an old town. The first mention of anything here seems to come from the 13th century when there was a small wooden castle here. There was also a significant source of clay, as in the middle of the 16th century there were 140 houses built of brick, a remarkable number for a rural town. The town`s monuments prove its magnificence and rich history. Worth mentioning are the Old Town with its historic tenements and the 17th century church of Baroque style, with three naves. There is also a Regional Museum with over 10 000 exhibits and traditional sections of hop and brewing. The town`s vicinity is also attractive. Agro tourist farms, tourist trails, clean air and pretty landscapes encourage relaxation in this part of the Lublin land.

Last year, thanks to funds from European Union, the town has finished running two big investments that resulted in beautiful, revitalized town market and building of sports and recreation centre with expanded town stadium.
